Welcome Message from the Chairs

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 18th International Symposium on Pediatric Neuro-Oncology – ISPNO – which will take place in Denver, Colorado, USA in summer 2018.

This international meeting welcomes Oncologists, Neurosurgeons, Radiation Oncologists, Neurologists, Nurses, Basic and Translational Laboratory Researchers, Neuropathologists, Neuroradiologists, Endocrinologists, Psychologists, and Social Workers involved in the research for and diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and overall care of children with central nervous system (CNS) tumors  across the world. Building on the success of previous meetings, the ISPNO 2018 Denver Organizing Committee is delighted to host this biennial event. The ISPNO has clearly become pre-eminent in the field of CNS tumors in children and young adults and is the highly anticipated forum at which the newest information and results can be shared and new collaborations can be established.

The ISPNO will be held from Friday, June 29 to Tuesday, July 3, 2018. The meeting will follow the successful format of an introductory Educational Day that leads into a full program of plenary and poster sessions, keynote talks and round table discussions covering many of the topics relevant to research on and clinical care of pediatric CNS tumors. The meeting will be held in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the heart of Denver, Colorado. Colorado is one of the most beautiful places in the United States and is home to some of the most famous national parks, including Rocky Mountain National Park. Summer may be the best time of year to visit us and take advantage of everything our state has to offer. Denver itself is a safe and vibrant city that has a lively, large and walkable downtown. Denver was voted the top city in the 2016 U.S. News & World Report Best Places to Live rankings. The meeting hotel has superb facilities, including its roof top bar giving an unimpeded view of the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountain Range. Many of Denver’s best restaurants and attractions, including world class museums and the performing arts complex, can be reached on foot from the venue. The Denver International Airport is a major hub with excellent connections both nationally and internationally. The newly opened light rail train system will take conference participants straight from the airport to downtown.

We hope to make your visit to Colorado an unforgettable one and invite you to join us for a program that will enrich all participants’ knowledge and enhance clinical care for all children with central nervous system tumors. We will look forward to seeing you in Denver!
