ISPNO Denver is pleased to offer an exciting Young Investigators event* on Friday evening, June 29, 2018. This event will begin with a panel of grantors from various sized funding organizations who will discuss what how their processes work and what elements make proposals, especially for grants targeting young investigators, most successful. The evening will then transition into a social event, including cocktails and food, to facilitate networking within the international pediatric neuro-oncology community. Trainees and junior faculty (i.e., instructors and assistant professors) are welcome to attend.

The Grand Hyatt Denver’s Pinnacle Club provides one of the largest views in North America. The Club provides an intimate, historic ambiance as Colorado’s premier event venue. Colorado is home to a burgeoning farm-to-table and farm-to-bar movement. You’ll be served the joys of Colorado’s homegrown ingredients in delicious food, brews and cocktails.

The Nursing Symposium continues with a margaritas and munchies reception for a special time of networking and planning future collaborations. Attendees will then make their way to the general welcome reception to meet up with our other colleagues.
There is no fee to attend, but registration is required in order to ensure sufficient seating.

Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox: For those with two left feet or who just can’t get their head around “stepping out,” consider joining the group at Ophelia’s, in the heart of downtown Denver. This restaurant, bar and live music “gastrobrothel” is housed in one of Denver’s original Wild West brothels, now completely refurbished, and pays homage to the outlaw history of our town. Ophelia’s is now a thriving hotspot and darling of Denver, featuring delicious, responsibly sourced food. $50 per person. Includes admission, drink tickets and light appetizers.

This year’s Gala will be held at the Seawell Ballroom in the heart of Denver’s Theater complex. A picture perfect setting with flawless all-natural acoustics 70 million years in the making, Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater is a true Colorado original. It’s no secret that Black Hawk’s 16 Casinos are Colorado’s premier gaming and entertainment destinations. For more than a century, people have traveled to Black Hawk in search of entertainment, luck and prosperity. By most accounts, Black Hawk took its name from an early stamp mill (a type of mill used to break ore) brought in from Rock Island, IL and named for the famous Indian Chief.
